    The Particulars of Feeding Cats

The cat (Felis silvestris catus) is a collective name for the smaller members of the cat family (Felidae).

In North America and Europe there are more pet cats than dogs – over 175 million.

Domestic cats are among the finest predators. This fact is supported by certain anatomical features: – Teeth and jaws – Skull – Limbs

With constant access to food, cats eat 8 to 16 times in 24 hours.

    1. Cats have certain physiological and metabolic features characteristic of true carnivores. Their metabolism is marked by an unusually high protein requirement (25%).

    2. Kittens' need for docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

    3. Urinary health – low magnesium levels to help maintain a healthy urinary tract.

The cat is part of the family too! That is reason enough to provide the very best for her!
